Google plans on introducing more unique features for users to gauge the most of its NotebookLM.
Google’s AI-powered notebook has new potential updates in sight. Only recently did Google introduce audio overviews, and now it’s testing additional generative media features.

Artificial intelligence has transformed how we conduct searches and interact online. Whether developing content, editing, or publishing it, modern tech has afforded options to promote user convenience.
Google is taking the same step with its AI-driven notebook, Notebook LM.
Several users observed that the platform’s web interface had a ‘Video overview’ option, which would help users convert their content into video summaries. Most probably, the system will leverage Google’s Veo 2 with a high capability of converting texts into concise video segments that are 10-12 seconds long.
While this feature could inherently propagate a layer of visual storytelling onto how NotebookLM presents its content, Google could opt for a template-driven format. The structure of the video overviews remains uncertain. They might be specialized dialogues or visual metaphors, highlighting the main points of the content.
However, the tech superpower wonders that if these video summaries are integrated with the audio ones – there could arise repetitive patterns, which overlook the creative rendering.
The overall design and functionalities are uncertain.
However, these updates could be a strategic move by Google as they plan on launching NotebookLM for iOS and Android. The organization has wanted to amalgamate its AI ecosystem across different modalities – text, audio, and video (maybe) to offer a unique assistant-like experience.
Although there’s quite some anticipation around this upgrade for NotebookLM users, the exact details are yet to be introduced.
