Apple has become the dominant force in all things technology. Is AR/VR its next frontier?
The AR/VR scene has become particularly exciting. Drowned out by the uproar of AI-related news, virtual reality, and spatial content has taken a backseat to the headlines.
But, these emerging technologies will play a massive role in how people interact with the world. And Apple wants to compete with Meta— which is currently at the forefront of AR/VR development.
But where does Apple’s Vision Pro lie on the spectrum?
Apple will introduce AI-powered and spatial content apps for their Vision Pro headset, reports Bloomberg.
Apple has been planning on providing value for its customers by enhancing the Vision Pro with Apple Intelligence and spatial content as part of its software update— visionOS 2.4.
The innovative tech giant has already shown its users a vision of a seamless and integrated experience with the headset. However, the response from the user base has been lackluster (But as this is a new technology, the figures will change).
But why?
Many experts speculate the high price of 3,499$ and the lack of content for the platform are the reasons for the dip in sales.
And that very well may be the case. However, Apple has a loyal fanbase, and they are waiting to see what Apple brings next for the Vision Pro.
Knowing the company’s track record, it could be a marvel of design and create a benchmark for spatial content.
